4th Quarter Grit

How about a comeback win? That’s what I’m talking about! If this team has shown anything this year, it’s shown we are resilient. We’ve bounced back from a tough loss, and we proved we don’t quit…ever! We were down 10-20 with less than 9 minutes left in the 4^th Quarter in our game against Center Grove. Our defense absolutely did their job! They gave us the ball back when we needed it. Our first score was a 70+ yard strike. The dime dropped right on #12 (our senior leader in the receiver room), and he did the rest. Our second score for the win was a fade to the end zone. I’ve never been more proud of a teammate. Just a sophomore, #7 made a beautiful clutch catch with about a minute left. Our defense held on. GREAT TEAM WIN! This week will be a tough one against Carmel. They are well coached and fundamentally sound. I’m looking forward for the opportunity to test ourselves against the #2 rated team in the state.
